Beyond The ADP

The offseason is over. Here’s where our QB board stands entering Week 1.

If you followed our rankings throughout the offseason, you know this board didn’t stay still.

Training camp, injuries, new offensive systems, depth-chart changes and shifting ADPs have all forced us to reevaluate the quarterback position. We’ve followed the major rankings and ADP sources throughout the summer—including The Fantasy Footballers and FantasyPros—while also weighing talent, rushing upside, supporting cast and opportunity.

But this isn’t a consensus ranking.

This is the Beyond the ADP board.

And it will change. Once the games begin, usage and performance will tell us things projections couldn’t. We’ll continue adjusting these rankings from week to week as injuries, roles and performances give us new information.

But entering Week 1, this is where we’re at.

WHAT STANDS OUT?

ALLEN & LAMAR STILL LEAD THE WAY

Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson remain our top two. Their combination of passing production and rushing ability gives both a weekly ceiling that few quarterbacks can match.

DRAKE MAYE MAKES THE LEAP TO NO. 3

This is one of our bigger calls.

We’re buying the development, rushing ability and upside of New England’s offense. Putting Maye ahead of Burrow, Daniels and Hurts is aggressive, but we believe the ceiling is there.

WE’RE HIGHER ON BURROW & DAK

Joe Burrow at No. 4 is a bet on elite passing production. If he’s healthy, there aren’t many quarterbacks we’d rather have throwing the football.

Dak Prescott at No. 7 is another intentional stand. Not every elite fantasy quarterback has to win with his legs. Passing volume still matters.

CALEB, NIX & HERBERT ROUND OUT THE TOP 10

We’re betting on another step forward from Caleb Williams and Bo Nix.

Then Justin Herbert at No. 10 gives us a proven quarterback with the talent to finish considerably higher if everything comes together.

AND THEN THERE’S MAHOMES…

Patrick Mahomes — QB15.

That’s probably the ranking people will notice first.

But we’re not ranking careers. We’re ranking 2026 fantasy football.

Mahomes remains one of the greatest quarterbacks in football, but real-life greatness and fantasy value aren’t always the same thing. Until we see exactly what this version of Mahomes and the Kansas City offense looks like, we’re not pushing him up the board simply because of his name.

THE BOTTOM LINE

Quarterback is deep.

If you land Allen or Lamar, you’re getting the difference-making ceiling we want at the position. But if you miss them, don’t panic.

There are legitimate options throughout this Top 20. We’re betting big on Maye, we’re higher on Burrow and Dak, and we’re willing to wait on some very famous names.

Most importantly, this board isn’t permanent. Injuries will happen. Roles will change. Players will break out. Others will disappoint.

We’ll adjust with the information rather than stay married to our preseason rankings.

Don’t draft the name. Don’t chase last year’s points. Stay ahead of the ADP.
