๐Ÿ“ˆ NEXT MAN UP: 5 PLAYERS WHO JUST BECAME MORE INTERESTING

Injuries hurt fantasy teams.

They also create opportunity.

After the first wave of Week 2 injury news, these are five players whose fantasy situations have changed.

1. AARON JONES โ€” RB, VIKINGS ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Jordan Mason handled 15 carries in Week 1 before landing on IR following thumb surgery.

That’s significant work suddenly available.

Minnesota has added additional backfield depth, so Jones won’t necessarily absorb every touch. But his road to a larger workload just became much clearer.

VERDICT: ๐Ÿ“ˆ RISING

2. QUENTIN JOHNSTON โ€” WR, CHARGERS ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Ladd McConkey has been dealing with his rib injury and missed consecutive practices.

If McConkey can’t play, Johnston becomes one of the most obvious candidates for increased opportunities from Justin Herbert.

We’re not simply chasing an injury replacement here. We’re looking at a receiver who could suddenly move significantly higher in the target hierarchy.

VERDICT: ๐Ÿ“ˆ RISING

3. RASHOD BATEMAN โ€” WR, RAVENS ๐Ÿ‘€

Zay Flowers’ hamstring injury has created uncertainty in Baltimore’s receiving corps.

If Flowers can’t play, Bateman suddenly has a much clearer path toward additional routes and targets.

That’s enough to put him squarely back on the fantasy radar.

VERDICT: ๐Ÿ‘€ WATCH CLOSELY

4. MICHAEL MAYER โ€” TE, RAIDERS ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Brock Bowers’ knee situation puts Mayer on the fantasy radar.

This isn’t about claiming Mayer suddenly becomes Bowers.

It’s about finding usable volume at one of fantasy football’s thinnest positions. If Bowers sits, Mayer becomes a legitimate short-term option.

VERDICT: ๐Ÿ“ˆ SHORT-TERM RISER

5. JEROME FORD โ€” RB, VIKINGS ๐Ÿ‘€

Here’s our deeper one.

Minnesota added Ford after Mason landed on injured reserve.

Aaron Jones is clearly the player who benefits first, but Ford has NFL experience and becomes a name worth monitoring in deeper formats.

If you’re in a league where most useful running backs are already rostered, this is exactly the type of player to identify before his role grows.

VERDICT: ๐Ÿง  DEEP STASH

๐Ÿ”ฅ BEYOND THE ADP TAKE

Don’t just chase last week’s points.

Chase next week’s opportunity.

Jones ๐Ÿ“ˆ
Johnston ๐Ÿ“ˆ
Bateman ๐Ÿ‘€
Mayer ๐Ÿ“ˆ
Ford ๐Ÿ‘€

That’s where the edge is.
